Alberto Fermani

Alberto Fermani is an Italian label of women's shoes which has its roots in the shoe manufacturing district of Macerata, in the Marche, as well as the name of its founder.
==The Company==

The current company Aeffe Srl was founded in 1960 as MPF, a small manufacturing workshop which produces men's shoes for third parties constituted by three members, one of which is Alberto Fermani. It is the golden age of the shoe factories that arise and multiply in the district of the Marches, which becomes a symbol of quality and prestige footwear. After less than ten years just Alberto remains at the helm of this small company with ten employees and begin his real professional career that will bring him to the turn in the 80’s: thanks to the help and advice of technical experts coming from Lombardy and Emilia Romagna – with a long footwear manufacturing tradition yet – he creates the first women's shoes, which are immediately appreciated, and at the end of the '80s the Alberto Fermani brand was born.
Since 2003, the helm has passed to his son Matthew who has taken over the business as the successor.
